Anyone who competes in a 24 hr race in the Scottish highlands in January needs to be thick skinned, crazy or masochistic (or maybe all three…)

We were keen to support organiser Steve MacDonald from Square Wheels which meant a long drive from Bristol.

As I was doing the important jobs  (tea, chatting, whiskey) etc. team rider Ellaine Burroughs needed an equally mad and equally fast  companion to make up a pairs team.  Jenn Hopkins volunteered and so team “Bionicon Minxes” was created.

Needless to say the ladies showed everyone who’s really boss beating all of the mixed pairs and coming 2nd overall in the pairs category with a staggering 26 laps.

Innsbruck finally has its own Dirtpark!
